- 스토리지를 네트워크로 연결하는 방식
- LAN을 연결하여 사용하기 때문에 비용이 저렴
- 파일 단위로 데이터 저장
- OS에서 파일 서버로 표시됨
SAN(Storage Attached Storage)
- 스토리지를 네트워크로 연결하는 방식
- 확장이 용이하며, 피버 채널을 이용해 고속의 전용 네트워크를 구성하여 속도가 빠름
- 블록 단위로 데이터 저장
- OS에서 디스크로 표시됨
